Nainital Trip

21st march gud firday is a holiday...so 3 days holidays in a row...after a long discussion we finally decided to go to Naintal....as the plan was scheduled all of sudden we cud not book any tickets in prior...we enquired the ppl...and they said u can find a lot of buses frm Delhi to Nainital(ofcorse later we have come to know that it was not true)...so me Pradeep and Sukhdeep a north Indian guy started from Noida at 7.30 P.M... We had to go to ISBT,Anand Vihar, East Delhi...at that time usually local buses will be very busy it took 1hr journey usually it takes 20 min...East delhi that night it was completely blocked...so we had to walk for 1.5 km to reach ISBT... I thought it being the bus-stand of NewDelhi I had many expectations..but after entering there..pchhhhhhh...believe me guys...Vijayawada bus-station is 100 times better than that...we enquired for the bus there..and they said the last bus leaves at 10.00PM and all its tickets were booked...but we had to wait for Chiranjeevi..

let me brief you of his journey here for a while..he had to cum to East Delhi from Nehru Place,South Delhi...so he started from his home at 7.00 PM he walked all the way till the bustand...the next day being holi ppl started playing it at that night itslef...all of sudden he was hit by an egg..so he went back changed the dress and started again...he asked the conductor of a gr8 BLue line bus..whether this bus goes for ISBT Anand Vihar..his reply was...haann jaldi jaldi chalo..so he entered the bus...wen he has cum for the tickets he asked for one ticket to ISBT anand vihar..the conductor gave a peculiar look and said who said u that this bus is going for anand vihar...this goes to ISBT Kashmiri Gate..in fact there are 3 ISBT's in delhi...so he had to get down there..and as he had no other option he took an auto rickshaw...and started..after some time the auto waala said..bhayi saab gadi me to tail(petrol) katam hogaye,,aap ko doosri gaadi leni padega( The petrol in the vehicle is over u need to take another vehicle..)he got down there and waiting for another auto..the place is completely deserted..and finally he cud find a rickshaw sum how...he asked the rickshaw guy to keep on going..until he finds an auto..:P..finally he cud reach ther at 10.20 PM...and even by that time Jam was not cleared..so he had to walk all the way till ISBT...

so all four of us enetered in ISBT..hoping for the last Naintal Bus...obviously we could not find any...so we came out and we have come to know that there are many private travels for Naintal..so we were relieved a bit...we cud manage to get tickets..and we were asked to wait at a place along with many other passengers....time was 11.00 PM..we waited there discussing all possible stuff...by looking at the busiest roads of East delhi...It was 12,1'o clock...we could not find any tourist bus near by..finally at 1.15...some one has cum and he said bus is placed half a km frm here..as this is the junction of ISBT its very hard to get out frm here...so pls walk for half km we can go thru sum other way...so we went to the bus...its the worst ever bus I have seen...but for the name deluxe infornt of the bus..I cud not find any single feature that a delux bus posess, in this one...we blamed our selves for getting into that finally he started at 1.30 AM...we thought next day morning by 8 we will be in Naintal...at 2.00 AM the bus stopped again...its the out skirts of delhi..and sum police were entering into the bus ...and they have taken away the driver and the other guys of the bus inside the station...then we have cum to know that the bus dont have the permit...

police have said that this bus wont be allowed to go further..u can make ur own arrangements to go back....luckily one person was having the number of travel agent and he rang him up...after hell lot of discussions the conclusion was they are arranging another bus and it is going to come to some place near by..and we had to go there..some refused and asked for the refund...but there was no one who belongs to the bus to ask for refund...so we had no other option we walked to the place mentioned by that fellow in the phone...none of us know whether a bus is going to come..or wats going to happen..just think of we sum 50 ppl..standing in the outskirts of delhi at night 2.30 AM waiting for a bus which is not guaranteed at 3.05 we saw a bus approaching us...ppl ran towards the bus ...even this one is not a deluxe..but far better than previous one...after blaming our fate..we thought ok we will be reaching naintal by 10..atleast...

all of us were tired completely..and we slept with in 5 minutes after getting into the bus...I remember he taking in a different route to skip the police station where the earlire bus was caught....all of sudden in the morning at 7.15 I woke up and I cud fine that bus is not moving..I have asked the person sitting next to me...he laughed at me and said..frm 1hr..the bus is in the same place..and stuck in the jam..then I saw thru the window...both the sides road is packed...with atleast 1000 vehicles(as far as I cud see)..we dint know who had to be blamed...me and chiru started playing the game words building game..as the charge in all the mobiles exhausted by that time...finally we cud move out of the jam at 10.30 AM...and they said Nainital is 5 hrs frm here...we had luch at sum dhaba on the way...and our bus reached Haldwani(35-40kms frm Naintal) at 4.00 PM in the afternoon....frm there the route is ghat road...the driver said he had never been in ghat raod earlier and we were asked to get down ther and go by public transport...and as if he is doing us a big favor he said he is gonna pay for the tickets...the ppl in the bus were completely tired..and they said..enuf of the tricks we are not goin to get down...u will have to take us to nainital in the very same bus..after sum 15 min argue ment the bus eneterd in ghat road...the elevation of naintal frm haldwani is 1900m app....may be this is the first time me going to the elevation...that ghat road journey is awesome...there is a boarding school in midst of the hills..its simply superb...

finally we cud reach Naintal at 5.30PM after a terrific journey...immediately after getting down frm the bus..one can see the lake..situated in midst of the town....it was awesome..believe me we forgot all the troublesome journey after having a look at that sunset there...we took a double bed room...we had bath..and we went to enquire all the places need to be seen...we were a bit disappointed as they said all the things like ropeway,national park(tiger sanctuary) will be closed the next day becoz of Holi....they said even u cant even go to local sight seeings..as the cabs might not be available for local sight seeing...

the nextday morning the hotel wala some how arranged us a cab...so we started at 9.00 am in the morning...the first place visted was Himalaya Darshan...the place is spectacular...we cud see the tips of the snow mountains...and river Kushali coming from the Himalayas...the place is awesome...if one is interested to see the entire himalayas...the ideal time is September...after that we have been to Lovers' point,suicide point,lake view...all these places come under chota tour....all the places were simply amazing...there is one more tour named lake tour half day tour..and all the lakes will be covered as a part of it...we went to boat ride in the main Lake of Naintal...its for one hour...its damn gud...one need to go for it...

the next day(sunday) we planned for rope way but we cud manage to get the tickets at 4.50 PM...we wre lucky as the tickets will be till 5 PM..we have spent the time in local shopping..Nainital is known for candles and wooden items...one can find candles in all possible shapes and they look very pretty too......and we went there at 2.30 PM..luckily there were no ppl around so we had got the chance to go at 2.30 itself...rope way will take us to Naintals top most point named Snowview..we will be let to stay on the top of the hill for one hour...one can see the World's third Highest Peak,India's Second Nandadevi...frm the snow view..

The best part is a small theme park on the top of mountain.....just imagine a free fall on the top of a 2500mtr...mountain...it was damn gud...we cud see the entire naintal frm tha top view...we even had gocarting there...we returned frm there at 4'0 clock...got the bus at 6.00 PM....it started at 6.30...this time without any adventures...the journey was calm...we reached ISBT Anand Vihar at 3.30AM in the night...we managed to go to our room....took rest for 3 hrs..the alarm at 6.30 showing that weeknd is over..its Monday...gotta go to office...again routine work started...:(

Life @ Noida

Hi every one...before coming to Noida I felt very bad abt it...as I cud not make out my PS at Bangalore..but now the opinion is completely changed....Noida is a beautiful place...full of malls....one can easily identify any place in Noida as everything is divided into Sectors...The Great India Place( Asia's Biggest mall)...its a very gud place..it has gota the all the shoppings...all the brands...and even local brands....recently adlabs has been started...so one can njoi the movie time too...the complete third floor of the mall is a food court....and its like u will get stuff in differnt varities like south indian rajastani,mubai...apart frm the regular pizza huts,coffe days,tandoori villages and chinese stuff...the other malls are Center Stage mall,Spice,Sab,Shipra.
on the way frm Noida to New delhi the gr8 Akshardam temple of swamy Narayan(awesome place) is situtaed....that is the world's biggest hindu monument....one need to dedicate a complete day to see the entire temple...the sculptures, monuments are too gud...but at the gate the security check will be a bit irritating...they check the purse and belts too...
Metro linking up Noida,Delhi and gurgaon is cuming up..its expected to be complete before common welath games which are scheduled in Delhi in the year of 2010.
The greater noida is an industrail area...but turning out into a posh area...all the newly constructed houses are palnned as grp housings like ATS village ,NRI city(resembles Dubai) kind of thing....an International airport is coming up....the express way linking Noida and greater Noida is a toooo gud for driving...spaciuos roads...with full of greenaries around...but the entire greater noida is not yet developed...sum areas are completely dessretd one need to travel for half an hour for a shopping complex...but I feel very soon its gonna turn out into a concrete jungle....will update my next blog with the places at Delhi....
